My artistic practice explores the psychological implications of everyday environments. I aim to capture the subjective experience of disquiet that can be felt through moments of existing within space. The motif of my own likeness is duplicated and staged to imply an unnerving atmosphere that is sensed by the figures that dwell within my compositions. I often pose these duplicate figures to appear somewhat disengaged with their environments, suspended between states of presence and detachment.
