About

I am interested in exploring the psychological tension of dwelling in spaces that function as points of both security and estrangement for an individual experience. Often referenced from my own living space, the interiors in these paintings are composed into subtly disorienting perspectives and rendered in exaggerated color while showcasing a notable emptiness that offsets the reality of the spaces, denying the warmth of familiarity. My artistic practice seeks to question the dynamic between environment and inhabitant in fostering a condition of immersion or isolation, provoking reflections on increased alienation encouraged by hyper-individualized living in the present day.
